Can you find items around the classroom that are shorter and longer than a popsicle stick?

We began our unit on measurement by searching for items that were longer and shorter than our popsicle sticks! The students had a lot of fun measuring today!

Please continue checking back in as I post more photos from our exploration of measurement.

Turning our eggs

Today, we learned how the mom duck turns her eggs at least 2 times a day.  It is important in helping the ducks survive.  We love watching the eggs turn in our incubator.
Bella Grace is noticing the differences in the Pekin Ducks and the Runner ducks!

I cannot wait to share with you our "An Egg Is Quiet" duck journals!

Can we please hatch baby ducks in our classroom?

OES Career Day

We have had such a fun morning learning all about different careers!

We started our morning by listening to Mr. Craig from creature comforts. He taught us all about the importance of taking care of our pets. He also shared pictures and videos from Creature Comforts and all of the services they provide for our pets! We were excited to meet his sweet dog, Lilly.

Next, we traveled to Mrs. Blacks class and had the privilege to meet two fireman!

They even brought the firetruck!

Lastly we learned all about the importance of keeping our teeth clean! Our special visitor was from Foothills Pediatric Dentistry!

We were even able to practice brushing our teeth!

As you can see, we have learned so much and had such a fun morning! Thank you to all of our visitors for sharing with us! We loved learning from you!
