To really understand what it would feel like if we didn't have the sense of sight, we paired with a partner and each had a turn wearing a blindfold. The child who didn't have the blindfold was the guide. This led to a discussion about the importance of guides and how dogs can even be guide dogs! I love how awesome kindergartener's imagination and creativity are!

Sage enjoyed the lesson today. She said that she felt when she was blind folded and Bella Grace guiding her. What a great way to learn about sight and about those who don't have sight and what they use as adaptations.
ReplyDeleteThe boys really enjoyed this. Austin said he ran into the wall!! :) They also really enjoyed the fruit salad, they asked me to get everything they need at the store so they can fix it at home too!!
ReplyDeleteJust now seeing this... and now I understand why Joshua had me lead him around Target last night while his eyes were closed!
