Matter has mass and takes up space. It's everything we see, touch, or taste.

This week, we have been learning all about matter.  We watched a fun and interactive song on youtube which taught us that matter is everywhere.  We have been learning how everything is made of matter.

We have also been learning about different materials of matter (Wood, paper, cloth, plastic, and many more)!  This has been a lot of fun so far, and I am looking forward to continuing it next week.

This morning, we glued our matter poem into our poetry journal and annotated it.  The students highlighted sight words in yellow, vocabulary words in green, and drew pictures to help them remember the song.
