I am sure you have heard all about our Goods and Services unit we have been doing in kindergarten. The kids have been assigned jobs and have been working last week and this week. They have also had to pay for different items this week such as shelter, food, and school supplies. We talk about how their parents have to pay for these items each day. It has been so neat to see their responses in their Daily Job Journals. Please enjoy a few examples below:
"My job is helpful because I keep the hall quiet."
"I am the gardener. My job is important because I want the plants to live."
"We paid for furniture today. We did it, but it was not fun."
"I had 10 dollars and I took away 3 more and I had 7 more."
I paid 3 dollars for my chair today and I did not like it at all, not one little bit."
"I didn't like paying $2 dollars. Now I only have $5 more."
