Exploring solids and liquids

On Monday, we began a discussion about solids, liquids, and gas. We learned that a solid always holds it shape unless force is applied to it. 

We experimented with a large 3D cube and placed it in a container to observe if it would hold its shape, or take the place of the container. 
Of course, it is a solid and therefore kept it shape.

The next day, we learned about liquids. We used the same containers as the previous day, and discussed our predictions about what would happen when we poured the liquid inside. Of course, the students said, "It will cover the entire star." Please enjoy the two videos below:
