Shapes Introduction

This week, we are loving our unit on shapes. We are focusing on the 2-dimensional shapes that we see around us.

On Monday, I gave each groups different shapes and asked them to sort them any way that they chose. Most groups sorted by color:

Today, we went on a shape hunt around the school to identify shapes that we see everyday around our school.

After returning to the classroom, we recorded the shapes we found in our math journals.
