We Work Hard For Our Money

Over the past two weeks, we have been enjoying our unit titled, "We Work Hard For Our Money."  Throughout this unit, each student had a job, learned about goods and services, and learned about the differences in needs versus wants.  The kids have LOVED having their own jobs and I am excited to continue this throughout the rest of the year!  Along with working hard with their job, the students were also "paid" for their hard work.

As we studied needs and wants this week, we used the following video as our mentor video!

Students were required to pay for their needs (chairs, table space, lunch, and pencil pouches) before they could shop at our classroom store today.  At the store, students had to choose which items they could afford based on the item's price and the amount of money they had left after paying for their needs first.  Please enjoy our video that we created today!
